1 Ates (2006, p. 136) : Maitlands species (=Calliactis parasitica) is not found in this region, Sagartiogeton undatus Mull. matches the illustration and description (open mouth, vertical lines at the inside of the opening of the mouth) best. Also the fact that it is mentioned that the illustration is at natural size adds to the arguments.
2 The melon jelly appears in great masses in May but juvenile Beroe cucumis Fabricius cannot be excluded.
